Have you ever come across the situation that you have sent a mail and within minutes you repent that why you sent that mail? I swear all of us have experienced it. There is a neat way to avoid this in Outlook by creating a simple rule to delay sending mail by few minutes. We call it “Career Saver” rule. And believe me it helps me to avoid unwanted/foolish mail quite often.
Let’s create a rule for a delay of two minutes.
- Click > Tools >Rule and Alerts
- Click New Rule
- Select "Start from a blank rule"
- Select “Check Message after Sending”
- Click Next and the Next again
- Then you will get an alert that says “This rule will fire all outgoing mail.”
- Now click Yes and the Next
- Set to defer delivery by 2 minutes
- Then Finish
Now be assured that you can avoid such mistakes up to some extent.
