Office 2003 Menu in Office 2007 using UBitMenu

Office 2007 is impressive, I agree. The features, look and additions of new apps like One Note, Groove entice you to upgrade. I did that as well and the most vexing problem I faced was the "ribbon". The Office classic menu and toolbar was deeply engraved in my mind from the Office 97 days. I was so used to that I found very difficult to work in Office 2007. I uninstalled the software and reverted to Office 2003. And to work with Office 2007 files I installed Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack .

I am not a single exception. The comments I get from others is "why the damn menu has been changed. I knew the old classic menu bar and toolbar as back of my hand". And believe me majority of them downgraded to Office 2003 only due to this reason. To make our life easier UBitMenu (a freeware plug-in) brings the Office 2003 menu in Office 2007. It adds a new tab "Menu" in the ribbon. And the classic Office 2003 menu is available in this tab.

Not all functionality is available in the toolbar. Some of the features which has been discontinued in Office 2007 is not available. For example, the Pivot Table Layout option is not available smile_sad.

So, UbitMenu provides you best of both of the world. You have ribbon as well as the classic menu of Office 2003 is available. However, this is free for non commercial use only.
